Directors

Alexis Adorador, Executive Director
Alexis Adorador MFT obtained her Masters Degree in Clinical Pscyhology from JFK University in 1985. She has worked in community mental health settings and private practice for over 20 years. In August of 2005, Ms. Adorador became the Executive Director of Familias Unidas, continuing her commitment to provide quality mental health services to underserved communities.

Lorena Huerta, Associate Director
Lorena Huerta is the Associate Director of Familias Unidas and has been with the agency since 2002. In her capacity as Associate Director, Ms. Huerta oversees key organization functions, including program development and evaluation, financial management and development, information systems, and day to day operations. She comes from a for-profit background and brings business models including human resources and fiscal management to the agency. Ms. Huerta holds her undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley and is bilingual and bicultural.

Bernadita Sanabria, MHSA Program Director
Bernardita 'Bernie' Sanabria, Families Forward Program Director, has a BA from U.C. Santa Barbara in Political Science and Public Service Emphasis and a MA from Santa Clara University in Counseling Psychology. Bernie has therapeutic expertise in underserved and monolingual populations, providing family, couples, individual therapy, including play, filial and art therapy with children. Bernie has over six years of wraparound/strength-based service team experience and currently enjoys working with the Wraparound teams in Richmond.
