Services Provided

We provide Bilingual/Bicultural services.

Counseling Services: A comprehensive psychotherapy program. On-going therapy is offered to individuals, couples, families, groups and youth.

Youth Services: A comprehensive program for at-risk youth. Projects include: one on one outreach; after- school programs; peer education, violence reduction, case management, and pregnancy prevention.

HIV/AIDS Services: The program promotes healthier living conditions and the availability of health services. Projects include: HIV education and prevention, therapy, and case management services to people living with HIV.

Information and Referral: The Familias Unidas, Socorro (Help) Information & Referral helps people to overcome intimidating institutional and cultural barriers of the existing health and social system to gain greater access to the help they need.

The Socorro Information & Referral program serves to link approximately 2,500 Richmond residents per year with available health and social services. People from all ethnic backgrounds receive assistance over the phone, in-person, and through the distribution of bilingual self-help directories. Clients and providers also have access to our bilingual service directory that lists providers with bilingual capability. Socorro also serves as a community cultural support system providing clients with Spanish language interpretation, cultural orientation and client advocacy.

Hours: 9AM-12PM, 1PM-5:30PM Monday through Friday (except Thursday) 1PM - 5:30PM Thursday

Appointments: Call our office anytime between 9am through 5:30pm. Someone will assist you in making an appointment.

For Whom: For all ages. Seniors, Adults, Chidren & Adolescents experiencing emotional distress due to external factors such as unemployment, stress on your job, problems with children, and crisis in the family.

Fees: For Counseling, fees are determined by the ability to pay. No one will be denied services based on ability to pay.

Individuals with no-insurance or Medi-cal are eligible for services at Familias Unidas.
